I am originally from Worcester, Massachusetts and moved to Northern California 12 years ago. I also lived in Burlington, Vermont during the 90's. While living in Vermont I was a single parent and attended Champlain College where I received an Associates Degree in Paralegal. I then went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice. During this period of time (7 years) I worked as a Runner and/or Production Assistant for concert promoters Metropolitan Productions (out of NYC) and All Points Booking. I also had experience doing hospitality and catering at the Centrum in Massachusetts during the 80's. I've always wanted to pursue a career in the music industry, production but it was difficult with two small children. When I started going to college for the paralegal degree my goal was to become an entertainment lawyer but somehow I made a switch in career interests and ended up in criminal justice. Quite a switch huh?!
A couple years ago my son, whom I occasionally took to work backstage when he was a kid, started working as a stagehand. When he would talk about working concert production I was reminded about how much I loved working production. After almost going for an MS in forensic psychology, with the help of a good friend, and my son, I realized my passion is and has always been entertainment. I am enrolled in the Entertainment Business Masters Program.
